Report any CSF specimens positive for pathogens that are not otherwise reportable as, “Meningitis-Other”. Public Health follow-up is not typically indicated for these results beyond reporting in Paris. Note – if the CSF pathogen is reportable (e.g. GAS, Streptococcus Pneumonia), report this as invasive disease with lab specimen = CSF, and complete the disease-specific follow-up (i.e. report CSF specimens positive for GAS as IGAS, not as meningitis).
