Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Reportable in British Columbia since May 2003, HIV requires urgent follow up and MHO consult in order to provide timely diagnosis and offer post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) to all high-risk sexual and needle-sharing partners in the last 72 hrs. Case follow-up in accordance with VCH CDC HIV Guidelines (September 2016).
